A Safe Place

Relationship & Family Guidance

Relationship and family guidance is attended by one person working on their relationships, on their own. It looks at the patterns that keep repeating: conflict, distance, feeling abandoned or taken for granted, and boundaries that protect a relationship rather than end it. If both partners want to attend together, couple counselling is the fitting option instead.

What these sessions look like

Relationships hold some of our most difficult conversations. We look at the patterns that repeat, the hurt of feeling abandoned or taken for granted, what makes honest communication hard, and how to set boundaries that protect the relationship rather than end it.

This may suit you if

  • Recurring conflict or distance with a partner or family member
  • Feeling abandoned, rejected, or left out by someone close
  • Difficulty saying no or asking for what you need

Common questions

Relationship & Family Guidance, answered

Can I come on my own if the other person will not?
Yes. These sessions are designed for one person attending alone, and a great deal changes when one person understands the pattern and responds to it differently.
How is this different from couple counselling?
This page is for one person working on their relationships by themselves. Couple counselling is attended by both partners together, in the same session.
Do you take sides?
No. The aim is to understand what keeps happening between you, not to decide who is at fault.
Are sessions in English or Hindi?
Either: whichever lets you speak most freely.
